Choreographies of Resistance is a multimedia installation that represents the Palestinian sumoud and resistance in the face of Israel’s military occupation and settler colonial violence. The works are based on a year-long field research in Palestine, specifically in the city of Bethlehem. The exhibition offers viewers an opportunity for critical inquiry as well as reflection. As an artist whose life is affected by the violence of the occupation, I provide an alternative representative record of the Palestinian struggle for freedom, self-determination and right of return. In my representation of this installation I hope to fill a void in contemporary art and address, visually and sonically, experiences of the resilient Palestinians.
